Colour belt grading

Congratulations to the students who were promoted by Master Howard at a recent grading at Grandmaster Howard’s Taekwon-Do School . The grading was held the Cabra parkside community centre, Ratoath road, Dublin 7.

The students ranging in grade from white belt (10th kup) to blue tag (5th kup) were tested on their syllabus, including; flexibility, fitness, patterns, fundamental techniques, step-sparring, sparring, breaking and Taekwon-Do theory. Master Howard was happy with the standard and said ‘it is clear that the students were concentrating in class and putting a lot of effort in at home’. ‘As the student move up through the grades more is expected of them. It is not just enough to turn up to class 2 or 3 times a week. Real effort and commitment to improving and fixing their mistakes in required’ he added.

Master Howard complimented Joyce Yu on her O+ promotion to green Belt and he presented the grading award to Emmet O’Rourke for his improvement and response to correction from his instructor Mr Fox. ‘All we can ask is that as students you listen to the instruction and improve’ Master Howard commented.
