Master Howard and Finn Howard were invited to teach Taekwon-Do to a Girl Guides troop in Beaumont, Dublin on Monday.
It was great fun as all the girls were really enthusiastic and all took part.
The class finished with a short demonstration by Finn and Master Howard. Ciara Hoban from the Dragons class invited Master Howard to teach the class and she also did a lovely elbow break on the night.
The Girl Guides were the Buion Clothra brigins based at St Fiachras junior school hall, Beaumont, Dublin 9
Thanks to Ciara Hoban from the Dragons class for the invitation

Scion Open Championships
Congratulations to the students of Grandmaster Howard's Dojang who travelled to Little Island in Cork for the 12th SCION Championships. It was a long trip but there was good representation from our School. We left the Maple Centre on the Navan road at 6.30 am and headed south.
It was a big competition with about 500 competitors, so if anyone won a medal they probably earned it. There was a busy but nice friendly atmosphere in the hall and all our students, instructors and umpires were made to feel very welcome by the host Mr Liam Corkery and his school. In the spirit of friendship Mr Sherry was recruited on a male black belt patterns team from UCC and picked up a silver medal for his efforts.
Thanks to Mr Wilson for giving up his day to be an umpire, Master Howard and Mr Fox who acted as coaches, and all the parents for supporting the students.
Well done to all that competed. The results of the day are below:

RITA Irish Open 2014
Dear Students and Parents,
The RITA’s Irish Open Championships on Saturday and Sunday, 29th and 30th of November 2014. This is the biggest tournament of the year for the RITA, and it would be great to see a huge show of support from our school.
The tournament is in the National Basketball Arena is Tallaght. It’s a great venue and so easy to get to. Junior Colour belts (yellow tag to black tag, aged 14 years and younger) will compete of the Saturday (9 am start), while older teens (15 years and older), adults and black belts will compete on the Sunday (9am start).
This is the RITA’s flagship event of the year and promises to be a great weekend for all of us. It will be a very well run event and is a great opportunity to put all the recent hard training into practice. I know some of us have had a lot of expenses lately but I’m asking all students, from yellow tags to black belts, to enter the competition. Grandmaster Howard’s Taekwon-Do School is the biggest school in the RITA and it is very important that we are there in big numbers.
Also, we want to make a great impression so I am asking all students to wear their Grandmaster Howard’s School tracksuit top at the event.
Please return the attached application form and fee to Master Howard by Tuesday 18th November. Click Here for Application Form
