Master Howard recently travelled to Carrick-on-Suir Taekwon-Do School for a great self-defence seminar conducted by Senior Master Barrett ITF 8th degree. Along with other black belts from across the RITA Master Howard got to fine tune his understanding of the entire RITA self-defence syllabus for red belts and black belts. The seminar was a fantastic opportunity to train with Senior Master Barrett as he is the association’s technical director and member of its black belt examination panel. The subtleties of knife self-defence and releasing from various grabs and holds were explained.
Photos of the seminar are on the RITA facebook page.

The students of Grandmaster Howard's Djoang held their annual demonstration in the Inspire Fitness in Cabra last night. There was a wonderful turnout of parents and supporters to watch students of all ages and grades display their Taekwon-Do skills.
The Tigers and Dragon's demonstrated their Taekwon-Do techniques as well as their jumping and flexibility skills. The adults gave a demonstration of knife defence, sparring and breaking.
The night concluded with Mr Leon McSherry 4th Degree performing the pattern Moon-Moo and Mr Adam Fox 4th Degree breaking a house brick with a punch.
A number of videos of the Tigers and Dragon's demonstration have been uploaded to our facebook page and more will follow so please check back to view them. Our facebook link is:
